Cucumber salad with red basil

Search for cooking inspiration starts on fresh market stands. It’s the colors and textures that shape the flavour bursts on the taste buds.

In hot days I’m leaning towards cool yet colourful nutritious combinations. Cucumbers were the first in the basket, followed by beautiful bouquet of red basil leaves. Having found this exquisite herb of velvet purple colour and aroma, radishes seemed natural choice with crunchy pink. And  to sum up some grapefruit pieces for bitter sweet juicyness. Serve it with simple vinaigrette with a mix of olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper.
